How do I resize photos to upload to a photodeveloping site?
Q. This question was posted three months ago: I would like to scrapbook photos, but I would like to do a layout with several smaller photos on one page. The pictures I want to use are head shots, so they are too big to use as is from my 4x6 print. So my question is: How can I make my digital photo smaller, and then order them as 4x6 prints, but just with a smaller image on the photo paper? I tried out the responses and am still having difficulty. Please help! Thank you!

A. If you have Photoshop or most other editing programs what you need to do is go to image. Then choose resize. Then you need to select the size that you want it to be. You can enter inches or centimeters. Once you have done this save the file with a new name and you should be good to go.

How do you erase photos from a memory card?
Q. So I went to Wal-mart today to make copies of some of the photos currently on my camera, only to find out that when I put the memory card into the kiosk, there were copies of all the photos I had ever taken still on there. How would I be able to erase all or some of the photos from the memory card? NOT from the camera, since they've already been deleted from there. Thanks!

How do you choose which photos to keep out of a photo shoot?
Q. In 3 hour shoot of a model - fashion, glam etc., I take about 200 photos. Now of course there are the bad ones, but how do you choose, like the top 5 or 10. Better yet, what is the average number of photos that a photographer typically chooses?

A. I usually try to narrow my photo shoots down to about 30-40 images. I try not to show my clients more then that as I find it becomes overwhelming. I cull my photos in a three step process. Step One: This is the easy step delete all the obviously bad ones (eyes closed, weird expressions, flash did not fire, etc.) for a family or group portrait I might keep these in a separate folder in case I need them for fixes later. Step 2: Weed out the duplicates. There will certainly be multiple shots of some poses and try to pick the ones I think are the best from each shot. Step 3: The next day I will go through the remaining and try to pick my favorites from the files that are left. I wait a day to decide with fresh eyes if I still feel… [cont.]
