Elected is the latest EP by Dutch Progressive metal project Ayreon. It was released on April 25, 2008 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and on April 28 in the rest of Europe. It features the guest performance of Tobias Sammet from Avantasia and Edguy.

The EP contains an Alice Cooper cover, an acoustic guitar and voice version of "E=MC²" and the track "Ride the Comet", both from the album 01011001. There is also a piano version of The Human Equation's "Day Six: Childhood". Some reviewers and also the CD-Text information on the CD itself call the EP The Universal Ayreonaut.

The album entered at 69# at the France Singles Top 100 and stayed in that position for three weeks.

How often do you contact your elected officials to tell them about your views?
Q. Do they respond? Do you write more often when the elected official has views different than your own or the same as your own?

A. I do so at least monthly, and they always respond. I write whether their views differ from mine or not...I just expect more out of those whose views line up with mine.

When was the last time the Roman Catholic Church elected a non-clergy person as Pope?
Q. Has this happened before? If so, when? I have heard that in theory, any baptized male could be elected Pope. I would think they would have to ordain him first, or something like that. A question related to this would be: Has the RC Church ever elected a person as Pope who was not already a Cardinal?

A. Pope Leo X (11 December 1475 - 1 December 1521) was Pope from 1513 to his death. He was the last non-priest to be elected Pope. He is known primarily for the sale of indulgences to reconstruct St. Peter's Basilica and his challenging of Martin Luther's 95 theses. He was the second son of Lorenzo de' Medici, the most famous ruler of the Florentine Republic, and Clarice Orsini. His cousin, Giulio di Giuliano de' Medici, would later succeed him as Pope Clement VII (1523-34). L8r

How would the world be different if Al Gore was elected president instead of Bush?
Q. The election was very close. But Bush won. And now some people might have regretted voting for him. So how would the world/ America be different today if Al Gore was elected president instead of Bush?

A. The election was close, but Bush didn't win. He got the Presidency, but he didn't win. But as to your actual question, there is a good chance 9/11 would not have happened, as Al Gore probably would have actually paid attention to the memo "Osama bin Laden determined to strike within United States," know what I mean? Al Gore also would not have spent any money in Iraq, rather than the $3 trillion Bush spent there. That probably would have gone a long way toward keeping the economy solvent. Who knows, we may already have had affordable health care without fear of it being taken away from us if an insurance company doesn't want to do its job. We might even have been on the cusp of being completely free and clear of Middle East oil,… [cont.]
