What do compression vests do and what are the benefits?
Q. I bought a Nike Pro Compression Vest for general sports usage and I was told they actually have another use other than to make you look totally musclebound! PS: I know they can hide Man boobs, I don't have any.

A. Compressing the muscles when doing weightlifting helps you to maintain form. It can also help stablize your spine to some degree.

How to change the compression ratio on an engine?
Q. How exactly can u change your engine from say a 9:1 Compression ratio to a 12:1?
Asked by that_one_guy - Fri Dec 1 12:25:07 2006 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. There are a few ways you can do this. Cheapest way to do it is to skim the cylinder head. This'll give u a slight increase. For higher increments, you'll have to opt for high compression pistons. However, do take note that increasing the ratio from 9:1 to 12:1 might result in massive engine pinging (premature detonation). In the long (or short) run, it'll cause engine failure (read kaboom!). You'll also need to increase the fuelling to prevent pinging.

What's the best compression format to compress files to a filesize as small as possible?
Q. What's the best compression format to compress files to a filesize as small as possible? Is RAR the best?
Asked by Greg C - Sat Oct 18 15:19:14 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. What are you compressing and for what purpose? Do you want to save space on your drive? To do that you can use JPG for graphics or MP3 for audio. Either of these also are used for up or downloads and can be accessed on any computer. Be aware though the smaller the file size the lower the quality. RAR, Winzip and similar are used to compress multiple file types for transmission such as all the files contained in a program. They could also be used for compressing large documents. As for which is the best it depends on what suits you. Every software claims it is the best but is it the best for YOU? That's the idea behind shareware, you get to try before you buy.
