How do I get more Banzai boards for the new board slip'n slide without buying the complete set?
Q. I just bought the new Banzai board slip'n slide and I only got one board. And on the commercials the people have more than one. Is it possible to get more boards without buying the complete set? At the store there were no individual boards on sale. Please Help!

What are some ideas for creating a poster board about anthropology?
Q. I am doing a mid-term project in my Careers class. We have to select a career and design a poster board with information relating to our career. The career I am doing is an anthropologist. We are getting a "creativity" mark for our board - how can I make my board relate to being an anthropologist, and what sort of visual things (ie. colours, objects, pictures) can I add to the board?

A. Some random thoughts: 4 main areas of emphasis within anthro: Physical, Linguistic, Ethnological (cultural), and Archaeology. So, you can show four major career paths. Visually, the only difficulty would be with Linguistics, unless you want to confine yourself to written expression. You might set up an MP3 player with a variety of languages being spoken. Maybe something like "Greetings in 35(or whatever) Languages!" All the other areas offer many stimulating visual imagery: artifacts, clothing, body adornment, rituals, ceremonies, fossil remains, forensics, etc.

Q. A board (whose mass is 40 kg and length is 3m) leans against a wall. The wall is frictionless but the coefficient of friction between the board and floor is 0.12. What is the minimum angle that the board can have without slipping (in degress)? What is the magnitude of the force exerted on the floor by the board?

A. To answer this question, you have to consider both the forces and the torques acting on the board. For reference, let's say the wall is on the right side, so the board is leaning toward the right. Define some variables: L = length of board m = mass of board = coefficient of friction = angle at which slippage occurs Nf = normal force exerted by floar (upwards against board) Nw = normal force exerted by wall (leftwards against board) Ff = force of friction exerted by floor, just before slippage. First, consider the forces. Since the board is not (yet) moving, all the forces should cancel out.
