The English word Folk ("people") is derived from a Germanic noun *fulka meaning "people" or "army" (i.e. a crowd as opposed to "a people" in a more abstract sense of clan or tribe). The English word folk has cognates in most of the other Germanic languages. Folk may be a Germanic root that is unique to the Germanic languages, although Latin vulgus, "the common people", has been suggested as a possible cognate. From Wikipedia under the

Gapers Block (blog) Last night was my final West African Dance class of the current session, and we had a recital onstage at the Old Town School of Folk Music. ... From Google News Search: "Folk" What instruments did the Irish use for traditional folk music? Q. And if you have pictures I'd love you forever. This is for a school project. I already have pictures of pop culture music from Ireland (Flogging Molly, The Script), now I just need folk music from Ireland. Since I'm looking for stuff that was so long ago, there's not many pictures. So I decided to just get pictures of the instruments they used in order to create the music. But, I don't know all the instruments that they used to play, and that's where you come in. :) Thanks. Asked by i y - Wed Oct 14 08:01:37 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Piper ! You can't trade items, but if you select the "Move from DS" or something on City Folk, you keep your appearance and catalog. I'm not sure whether you keep the stuff in your pockets, but at least you can order that stuff from Tom Nook's when you earn enough money Answered by Cann-Cann - Fri Feb 13 18:58:16 2009 How do you get a costume in Animal Crossing City Folk for the Wii?
Q. On Halloween there is a Halloween event on Animal Crossing City Folk. How do I get a costume so that I can get candy? Asked by Amanda D - Fri Jan 2 13:50:51 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. To add on to Naynay's answer...April 12th is when you do the Easter thing which is where you dig up the "X" or "Star" and you get an easter egg. In that is either candy or a bunny foil which you take to the Bunny outside of the Town Hall and then you get egg furniture, wall, or flooring. That is how you get candy on the Easter Event thing. I went to April 12th not 13th. April 12th is where I get all my candy. Answered by Musiclover - Sat Jan 3 00:54:36 2009 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Folk"
