In handwriting, it was common to start the arc to the left of the vertical stroke, resulting in a serif at the top of the arc. I drilled pilot holes and then screwed in some lag eyebolts. (actually did this into the wooden corners of my box spring. from the eyebolts you can now use chain (with quick links or even padlocks) Or you can use rope. If you have a metal frame. You may wish to also drill a hole through the metal where you can then attach an eye bolt Or to protect the metal.. stick with rope.
